What we'll cover:
Troubleshooting the Technical
Looking at your current setup, is the quality of your tapes at a professional standard? We'll look at the equipment necessary for a studio grade tape and provide you with quality options for various budgets.
Understanding Performance
From eyelines and entering frame, to playing intimacy or violence; acting in a static frame is a wholly different experience from being on set. We'll cover everything you need to know to adjust your performance accordingly to find clarity of story, including an in depth exploration of your physical life and what helps or hinders your performance.
Actors will be provided with 3 short scripts to self tape and submit before the workshop.
We'll then review and workshop these same scenes LIVE and apply the lessons and improvements in real time.
Every actor is GUARANTEED to receive personalized video feedback on each tape submitted (any scenes not workshopped live will be critiqued by the instructors privately).

Meet Your Instructor
Shane Savage has been teaching professionally for over a decade and has designed programs for, and served on the faculty of the National Theatre Drama School, Howard Fine Acting Studio (Australia) and is the proud founder of the Sonder Acting Studio.
He has won awards Internationally for his extensive work as an Actor, Producer, Director and Writer in both theatre and film. He believes that the pursuit of Mastery can be lead with kindness and humour, and while he expects the highest level of commitment from his students, he always approaches the work with curiosity and joy.
